Making the most of it.

Basically, the story is this: we have a room in the house that was meant to be a dining room.

But for the last 10 months, it has been anything but.  It’s been a storage locker, a workshop, a TV room, a dark scary void that you try to look away from whenever you walk past.  A room filled with debris and dreams not yet materialized.

Until one day, a new friend came home with us: a pristine, Danish, mid-century modern, teak dining room table.

We cleared the space, swept away the dust bunnies and set the new heart of our holiday dinners in its rightful place.

And in that instant, the room came alive.  Its destiny discovered but also its deathly pallor revealed.  The bare bulb lighting was flat and gross.  While the holes in the wall stared you in the face.

But a dinner date had been made and the table was eager for its debut.

So, what can you do but just make the most of it.
